Debra Green, author of MAHJONG AT MARA'S and THE CONVENTION OF WIVES, has always been drawn to good storytelling, especially historical novels and Broadway musicals. Her interest in interpersonal dynamics, history, and tradition informs her novels. A former hospital administrator and grant writer, she is an avid reader, devoted grandmother, and enthusiastic gardener. She is a graduate of Rutgers University and Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and lives with her husband, David, in Scotch Plains, New Jersey where they raised their three children, Samantha, Zachary, and Jessica.
